Marco Grob is a portrait photographer whose work is featured regularly in TIME magazine and GQ. This image is very appealing because of the emphasis of the brighter face on the dark background. There is also very little focus on anything other than his face, like his shoulders. At a glance, the image appears to just be of a floating head. For my portrait project, I want to use some of the same techniques as Marco Grob. Focusing nearly entirely on a bright face against a dark background is the main thing I want to use.
