The first studio photo represents intense dark emotion as her face and eyes are the focus of the photo, basing the composition around dark surroundings and highlighted skin. This use of focused lighting creates a very strong picture, contrasting the bright and youthful look in the second photo. I could utilize the first photo's dramatic lighting with my concept to portray the dark or intense feelings of different colors, since my theme is monochromatic photos.
The second photo strategically matches the bright and youthful warm lighting to her white outfit and fresh makeup, creating an overall very well composed and highlighted photo. I could use this lighting for colors like yellow and/or lighter blues to correlate the person's facial emotion to the feeling of a certain color.
