I chose the artist of this image, Peter Hujar. This portrait is titled Candy Darling on her Deathbed. I really like the thought behind this image. Candy Darling was about to die right before this image. To me, the way Candy chose to die, right in between the flowers, one bouquet of which is living and the other dead, signifies the passage between life and death. I plan to put this much thought of significance of surroundings into my portrait project.
