Mark Thirouin's portrait "Las Mujeres" was successful because the woman's face represents the situation she is in. She appears to be very serious, which parallels with the idea of being a nun. I also think the lighting was very successful; the monochromatic look adds depth and meaning to the image. The black background works very nicely with the woman's clothing and emotion. Finally, I think the photographer, Marc Thirouin, did a great job in stopping the motion of the smoke. For my project, I am hoping to take images of people experiencing different emotions. The props, the wardrobe, and the overall mood will hopefully portray a certain feeling."Las Mujeres"
