This photo is called Western Screech Owl #2 taken by Brad Wilson and was shot in 2011. This image is also a portraiture image. This image succeeds in many of the categories we have studied. It does a great job for asymmetry because the blacks balances out the owl. It also has great texture because you can see the texture of the feathers, and beak, and eye. You are not able to tell the depth of feel because the background is completely black. The colors of the feathers flow together and then the yellow of the eyes really stands out. Even though the yellow is bright and bold unlike the brown, black, and white, all of the colors really flow together.
