Photo 1 2015-16

The picture I am critiquing was taken by Cristina Acevedo. The image is of a young adult with paint all over her face. I really like this picture because I feel it has a lot of concept and value. I also think it makes the viewer think to find a deeper meaning. The picture is dark and I'm sure it makes almost all of it's viewers feel some type of sympathy, sorrow or pain for the young woman in the picture. I like how this picture was taken in black and white because it dramatizes everything the woman in the picture may be feeling. I also like the paint on the woman's face because it could mean a handful of things, one being don't hid who you are or how you feel. I also notice that the picture is asymmetrical. I wouldn't change anything about the photo because I like everything about it and all of the thought it brings to the viewer.
