Psychological Response PofD
This photo is my strongest because of the feelings and emotions it evokes out of the viewer. It creates a warm and happy response because of the orange, yellow, and red tones, which are on the warm color scale. Additionally, the repetition and pattern of the flowers makes the photo feel whole and complete compared to if it were just a few flowers. It is also pleasing that some flowers don't have as dark of centers as others, which creates some variety and helps guide the viewer's eyes through the work of art. Because of the color scale, emotion that arises in the viewer may include joyfulness and satisfaction, or it may make them feel hot or like the sun is on them just as it is on the flowers. This happens because of the common connotation of the sun, which is bright and yellow, just as the flowers are.
If this photo were to include cool scale colors, such as blue or purple, in addition to these flowers, the viewer might've felt conflicted about their emotions. Comparatively, if all the flowers were cool scale colors, the photo could've felt calm or even sad and gloomy. Because of the fact that the three colors featured in this work are the only ones utilized, it creates a sure sense of emotion and a pretty solid reaction widespread.
