I think that this is my strongest picture because of the bland colors. The colors that change and add contrast are very simplistic. At the angle it was taken, you can see the green wood wall that is staring to chip. The fact that the green and grey are mixing make me feel sad. The color tones make this viewer feel a sense of absence or abandonment, almost like something is supposed to be there but it is missing. Since the variety of lines are changing, your eye is moving around a lot and its making the viewer almost uneasy in an eerie way. The brown board walk is a bit calming, it makes the viewer feel grounded, safe, and almost stable. I think it really make the photos colors work when you add the brown, it makes the picture a little more happy and a little more collected. The buoy that is just off centered and white and blue are a bit awkward. It feels like a memory was made with the buoy, like maybe it was off an old boat and someone tied it there to remember. Even the little black patches in the sand add to the eerie affect of the picture.
