I think this photo is my strongest. The orange of the candle contrasts the dark black background. The darker colors of this whole image a depressing feel. The image as whole is depressing but it is also relaxing. The contrast in the image is between a warm color, the orange, and a dark color, the black background. The contrast also brings your attention directly to the candle. This is also the principle of emphasis. The photo also has a really dark feeling to it. The darkness make you feel tired and depressed.
